Chaplin's World, Switzerland

Chaplin’s World is a museum I visited in Switzerland in August 2019. It focuses on the life of Charlie Chaplin. The way many of the exhibits were featured were very interactive and had me exploring different ways that an exhibition could be done away from the standard. One exhibit in particular, as seen in the image below, is one of multiple screens, with each screen having a slight delay creating a domino effect. This effect and the body-length screens provided a different visual experience, I felt incorporated into the scene and was more enticed to pay attention to the details.

After seeing this, I developed a number of ideas of ways I could exhibit a video piece to immerse the viewer. This then led to me deciding on 3 screens which would pan 180 degrees around the audience, and having the audio pan across the room along with the visual narrative.
